I had a lovely cat who was Maine coon (his name was Elliot after Elliot Stabler from Law and Order SVU) but he did have a wild side when he became an adult. I always wondered why some cats get that way? He had a heart condition and I lost my sweet boy when he was 3.

i have maine coon cross and he talks alot healso knows how to complain. but i still lone him! a couple nights ago he gave me a bird head as a gift that was funny and he also helps whith tummy things

My relative had a female MC. She was the most vindictive cat I’ve met. She was usually very standoffish and her love language was proximity, preferring to be near people but not touched by them. If you did something that annoyed her, she very often would wait for several minutes and then retaliate. Her two favorite revenges were pushing something off a table/counter slowly and purposefully or laying on the floor innocently until the person walked by and she would claw their passing foot 😂 Clearly she was crazy smart! It’s always murky to separate nature vs nurture, but i suspect her personality was as much a product of her natural disposition as it was a reaction to some occasional negative interactions with her owners.

I have 3 n ya the fur is awful!!! But they r the most lovable I’ve ever owned!! They cuddle but food? Very picky!! I’m now in search of a giant one!! I’m just afraid of getting ripped Off! As for how much I spend on food?… I do spend n buy the best blue buffalo .

I dont think theyre aggressive at all but if you dont care for them correctly or born that way then that is another story

I hope this isnt farewell forever i love my molly and id be upset to not see her again my precious baby sucks your in CA now without your other fur babies my sister lives in san antonio part time for school and believe me its basically the same scenario for our family. For some reason my cats don’t compete with me for sofa space! It’s really rare that they’ll come and sit on the sofa whether with me or on their own, which is weird (and I often wish it were different)… sometimes Nika will sit on my lap on the sofa (but clearly the best place to sit on my lap is while I’m on the toilet 😂), and Harvey has recently become obsessed with a particular fleecy soft throw blanket on the sofa, and will spend a good amount of time making biscuits on it (ideally when I’m sat next to him, but that’s not a dealbreaker)… but when he’s done he’ll either jump down and go on his way, or will curl up on the little chair I have next to my sofa that has a dual purpose of footstool + cat seat, and the pair of them take it in turns to curl up there and rest their paws/faces on my feet while I’ve got one or more of mine resting there… they continue both their cuteness and their snuggles in different ways 😊

As a native Californian I get what you’re saying. Been to Texas many times & would never live there, hot, too flat, bad wineries and ugly beaches. Hopefully you’re in a nice part of Cali! I’d never live in LA or SF. I’m on the coast in South Orange County, Dana Point. Expensive but area is clean, safe, good air and being near the beautiful ocean, nice ocean cool weather makes it tolerable. Our politics in South Orange County are very different than LA and SF thank goodness! Anyway, hang in there! Hopefully you’ll end up in a state where the heat isn’t very bad and one that makes you and your family happy! ❤ Glad to hear the baby and fur kids are doing well! 😊

OMG I was heartbroken in advance of watching this video, just from reading this title… and I’m *so* relieved that everyone is fine, even if everyone isn’t together at the moment ❤️💔😌 Do what you need to do, in terms of your family life and what videos you do and don’t make! Your community of people who love you and your MCs will be here whenever you get the chance to make a video - never feel like you’re “falling behind” somehow by not making videos, because I’m sure people understand that life is just happening; especially with a newborn baby! ❤ I know you and your husband and cats have moved a bunch in the past, and I honestly can’t even imagine how hard that is, even without having to leave some of your cats elsewhere, and even without also having a baby to take care of! 🥺 I’ve been having the hardest time just getting my 8kg ginger-lion Harvey to the vets and back lately, which is literally a 5 min walk away door-to-door (admittedly that’s my “unencumbered” time, and when I’m, as an unfit and not-very-strong-in-the-upper-body person, hefting a huge unhappy cat along with me, it definitely takes longer!) Even with my new Ferplast Atlas 30 solid sided carrier (the one with the top-opening hatch); reinforced with cable ties on the 4 side clips keeping the top attached to the base, and two reusable cable ties keeping the top lid and the top of the door tied securely together, and with him given chill-liquid (vs chill-pills, which neither of us wanted to deal with 😹) meds in advance because of how stressed he gets - it’s still been a total ordeal. Last week when we were in the lift and nearly home (on the 4th total outing for this new carrier, counting there-and-back as 2) I suddenly felt a furry head (with my hand that was trying to hold the spot between the bottom of the door and the bottom part of the carrier) and spotted a pair of ginger ears reflected in the mirror in the lift that I shouldn’t have been able to see if he were still safely inside! The little monster had shoved with his head against the bottom part of the door and popped it out of the little plastic pegs because he got impatient to get out of there and get home and be free. I was horrified, but immediately felt relieved to have added all the cable ties for the second vet visit after reading horror stories of this carrier online, and for having held it tightly with one of my hands so specifically positioned and grasping between the bottom of the door and the carrier itself, so it would have been almost impossible for him to have busted out of there when we were outside! (Clearly once we were already in the relative safety of my building’s lift I relaxed my grip a bit!) I’m now envisioning having to drape the whole thing in comically oversized chains next time around, and then somehow finding a way to transport it such a short distance (that it’s not even useful or possible to get a taxi/be driven by a friend), but that’s definitely already on the edge of what I can do under my own steam (last time I also fashioned a lift-assist strap made from flat bungee cords I draped over both my shoulders and around the bottom and outside of the carrier and tied together with carabiners, which helped a great deal! Aside from it being a very metallic clunking nightmare to re-fasten at the vets to bring him home)… I’ve absolutely already looked at different kinds of carriers/backpacks/strollers/etc, but they all seem to have fabric/mesh panels - Harvey totally destroyed a large collapsible frame fabric carrier with mesh bits a couple weeks ago because he clearly didn’t want to go to the vet! 😨 I wish I’d followed more of your guides about training your cats when he was younger in order for it to not be such an issue now 😏 All of your cats are total angels in comparison to my absolute nightmares 😂 Even though they’re adorable and such sweet and loyal lil scaredycats and always looking to me for reassurance if there’s any kind of unfamiliar situation, sometimes they get The Fear and then they’re just DONE and need to get out of there. Harvey has developed a whole new mournful howl specifically when he’s in any kind of carrier, and it’s heartbreaking! 🥺 Cats, man… I’m sure you miss your other three *so* much and are looking forward to all being reunited again 🖤 I also hope yours don’t react like my two lunatics did to having one of them smell different - twice now when Harvey’s come home from a few hours at the vets (and being handled and cuddled by the vets and vet nurses etc and then smelling like entirely different people), his sister Nikita has freaked out and spent basically 24 hours hissing at him and growling when he comes near 😿 (she’s a sweet little cat, but so scary in the voice when she gets scared or angry!)

Oh how sad you had to leave your babies but good luck to you in CA. You should love it there. You can always make a visit to see your kitties. Haha now I see why your cats run away. Mine doesn't like loudness either.

I couldn't imagine having to leave my kitties and move. I had to be away from my two MC girls for 3 weeks and that was too long. It's nice to see a video update, I hope life settles back down for you and the family!

Enjoy your baby girl while you can. They grow up so fast. Your cats will get used to her over time.

it is not a safe place to be! there is so much crime and no enforcing of the laws! revolving doors for criminals but if you defend your family you will be arrested and the entire book thrown at you. I had family there in the early to late 80’s , he got out before his children went to school there! and everything is so expensive there! please do any cat videos with a day in the life of Maine Coons cats.

It doesn’t surprise me you have had to take a break. I knew it was coming with a new baby. Family always comes first. I will always watch your videos whenever you have a chance to post. 😁

Good afternoon, I am so very happy to hear from you because I was very worried about you all and how you were making out with the bad weather and multiple tornadoes in Texas, having a young baby and the cats to protect at all times. It's so good to hear that all is pretty ok to a point. It sounds good to hear your baby in the background, you must be up to your ears running around behind her.❤😊 . So sad that you had to leave some of your cats with family, but I hope that they stay well, and that you all can be re-united sometime soon. Feel you Put my 14 yo part maine coon to sleep a month ago. But at least you'll be able to re-unite with them at a later time. With the care you give to your cats, we know they are in good hands for now. Thanks for the update.

It sounds to me like you've really had your hands full with moving and having to leave some of the cats behind which is not easy especially when you're bonded. The best advice I can give is at least you didn't have to give away the other three cats you have because it sounds like you've downsized where you live. Good luck to you with everything and also I didn't know Moose and Molly were as connected to you as they were❤

I have a white Maine coon and she slowly changes to a milky color and to look extra crusty. And she always stays indoors. I wish I didn't have to bathe her, but every other month or so I have to do it

Yes, our Maine Coon does eat a lot. Be ready for very large turds and pea pods. We have 6 rescue cats since a male Orange Maine coon joined our Pride. Believe what you learn here. Everything you hear here is definitely true. My bags of litter refuse has increased by 18 to 25 pounds from Orange Julius. Yep, one cat added 20 lbs. of Poop and pee pods. They need the extra food. OJ needs more food, water, brushing and attention than 3 of the other cats it seems sometimes. Any way, having OJ as a part of our Pride has been great. He is like a dog, he follows, participates, loves and talks all the time. My comment is that you shouldn't get a Main coon if you are lazy. The results will be traumatic and expensive. Enjoy.

You say Albus likes watching movies? That's interesting as our Maine Coon Tabby could be Albus's twin or at least from same litter, look so much alike. I've heard the lion's mane fur doesn't really come in till 1yr and full size not reached till 3-5 yrs! How is Albus doing 4yrs later? Handsome as ever and still watching movies I suppose! 🤩
